2013 Top Ten Books

by James on January 16, 2014

These are the Top Ten Books I read in 2013 (in no particular order):

2013 Top Ten Books
1) The River of Doubt: Theodore Roosevelt’s Darkest Journey by Candice Millard
2) 5 Minutes by Gareth Stokes
3) The Raw Shark Texts by Steven Hall
4) Rise to Greatness: Abraham Lincoln and America’s Most Perilous Year by David Von Drehle
5) In Memory of Greed by Al Boudreau
6) On Unfaithful Wings (An Icarus Fell Novel) by Bruce Blake
7) Out of Time: A Time Travel Mystery by Monique Martin
8) Mind Games by Claude Bouchard
9) Jet (Jet #1) by Russell Blake
10) Nearly Departed in Deadwood by Ann Charles

There is actually a tie for my favorite book of 2013 between:
Rise to Greatness: Abraham Lincoln and America’s Most Perilous Year by David Von Drehle and The Raw Shark Tests by Steven Hall.

Thanks to all these authors for the great reads.

Well done! I had a list of my favourite ten reads of 2013 until September, but I just couldn’t narrow it down by December. Some interesting books on your list. Are you on Goodreads?

Oh, I’ve been wanting to read that Lincoln book! Glad to hear it was good.

Diana,

I am on Goodreads, but I always get behind on my book challenge books and my reviews. I mean to be a good Goodreader, but doesn’t always happen.

Lilia,

I am a self-confessed history junkie and I love the Civil War era. The Lincoln book was fabulous. Really a fabulous look at the impact of a single year. Loved it.
